Ryan Shepard is a proud native of Los Angeles, CA. He’s a graduate of Morehouse College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Ryan was a 2011 Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship at the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership. Ryan spent time professionally at McKinsey & Co., the City of Atlanta and Purpose Built Schools Atlanta.
Most recently, Ryan established US Programs for the Global NGO CARE. In the role, Ryan and team built the organization’s first domestic programming, including a food assistance network that delivered 13-million meals to vulnerable communities across the US during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since summer of 2022, Ryan has been growing an independent consulting business that focuses on strategy, operations and partnership building for mission driven organizations. He is also spending significant time producing a docuseries titled Does This Count as Therapy.
