Owen spent ~4 years as a generalist Associate / Junior Engagement Manager at McKinsey and has been serving as an independent strategy consultant since 2025. At McKinsey, he worked across logistics, metals, and life sciences, combining structured problem solving with analytics-led insights. Prior to McKinsey, he was a Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon in Transportation Analytics. He currently serves as the CEO’s right-hand at a retail-focused payments service provider (PSP). He also serves on the board of his family’s travel and tour operating business and the associated real estate family office.
Owen is particularly passionate about analytics-heavy strategic work (e.g. in growth strategy and M&A) but also brings the full generalist toolkit required for strategy and transformation programs. He is a native German and Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
He currently lives in Düsseldorf and is planning to relocate to Geneva, Switzerland. Outside of work, he is a PADI rescue diver and is training for a level 3 ski instructor license. He is happy to collaborate on projects at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and payments/retail across DACH and the broader EMEA region.
