Benjamin Niedner helps corporations, founders and investors create long-term value using private capital. His Venture Capital as a Service solution (http://nainc.ca) enables family offices and corporate innovators to capture the strategic value of being in control of their own venture capital program — without compromising on financial discipline.
As a Venture Partner at VU Venture Partners (benchmarked as a ~97% top performing fund, 72% IRR) and at a Fortune 500 corporate venture accelerator, Benjamin sourced and screened thousands of early-stage companies and led due diligence and investment committees on deals from pre-seed stage up to Series B. He also led due diligence for leading private equity funds on deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars cumulatively, and has 6 years experience serving clients up to C-Suite and board level as a former McKinsey project leader.
Benjamin holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Oxford University. He was awarded multiple scholarships from Germany’s largest, oldest and most prestigious scholarship foundation, the UK’s Science and Technology Facilities Council and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and is an honorary member of the German Physical Society.
He also completed McKinsey’s mini-MBA course with faculty from Harvard, Kellogg, Wharton and Columbia.
