As Senior Vice President Timetabling and Capacity Management at Deutsche Bahn, Michael was responsible for the strategic timetable, annual timetable and construction timetable — thus for the planning of 40,000 trains a day with track revenue of 4.5 billion euros. He was the initiator and successful implementer of a comprehensive transformation of the business and IT architecture. He has extensive expertise in managing complex asset heavy networks from strategic design to operational execution.
Michael worked as a McKinsey consultant to the top management of railway undertakings, infrastructure managers, transport ministries in Europe, Africa, Russia, Saudi-Arabia. Passionate to solve complex and challenging problems, inspiring people for change and making the change happen.
