I worked at McKinsey and Company for 25 years, retiring in 2011 as Senior Partner. During that period, I co-led the opening of several offices in Latin America and led the Latin American financial institutions practice from 2001 to 2011.
After McKinsey, I founded the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) of Colombia, which I ran as CEO from 2011 to 2017. ANI is a government agency created to structure, bid-out and supervise Public-Private-Partnerships (PPPs). During my six-year tenure as President of ANI, I launched the most ambitious transportation infrastructure program in the country’s history – more than 30 projects were awarded for a total investment amount exceeding $15 billion.
Today ANI is recognized as one of the best PPP agencies in the world. Since 2019 I have been working as an independent consultant focused on developing Public Private Partnerships.
I currently live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I was born in New Orleans and throughout my life I have moved back and forth between the U.S and Latin America.
Umbrex independent consultants are available where you need them – in all major markets and every global region.
