Ally spent 5 years at McKinsey & Co working in a variety of knowledge creation and customer facing roles. Since leaving, Ally has been the Chief Marketing Officer of three Financial Services companies in the financial sector with specializations in insurance and payments. Ally has applied her strong problem solving skills and relationship building to: Developing corporate strategies and breaking strategies down into business plans and budgets; creating marketing strategies and running marketing teams with strong above-the-line and digital experience; Developing new products including insurance, running product development teams, designing go-to-market strategies and managing the profit and loss of products; Creating and managing new distribution channels; she also spent a year managing culture and human capital while a replacement was being recruited.
Ally is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa but will likely be relocating to a seaside town. She is looking for largely remote work (approximately 75-80% of the time) and has both a South African and British passport. Ally is married with an 18 month old daughter and is passionate about financial inclusion, food and wine, although lockdown and a baby have curtailed some of that.
