Lukas Weimann is a strategic advisor operating at the intersection of hard science and commercial excellence. Based in the Netherlands but working across Europe, he recently founded Weimann Advisory to help investors and deep-tech founders de-risk technology, optimize business models, and accelerate the transition to industrial scale.
Lukas spent over three years at McKinsey & Company, lately as a Junior Engagement Manager, within the energy and climate technology sectors. During his tenure, he specialized in green business building, notably leading a high-priority engagement for a European battery manufacturer to design novel business model and lead its implementation from business unit design to product development and commercial acceleration.
Before McKinsey, Lukas earned his PhD in Energy System Optimization from Utrecht University, where he developed techno-economic models for low-emission energy systems, including hydrogen value chains and carbon capture technologies. He holds both an MSc and BSc in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zurich and conducted his Master’s thesis research at MIT.
In addition to his advisory practice, Lukas is the co-founder of CleanTech Forward, a venture studio that acts as an operational co-founder for university spin-outs. The studio identifies underutilized IP and handles the heavy lifting of company formation and institutional fundraising to bring scientific breakthroughs to market.
