Behrad is a battle-tested C-level strategic operator with a consistent track record over 15 years of delivering measurable results. After getting his MBA at Wharton, he spent 4 years at McKinsey where he led digital transformations in high-pressure situations – hostile takeover defense, Fortune 500 transformation post-acquisition, Fortune 500 transformation under activist-investor pressure.
After McKinsey, Behrad was recruited by filmmakers Ron Howard & Brian Grazer to lead the innovation division within Imagine Entertainment. He led the team that created Hollywood’s premier content accelerator. The division was spun out as its own company with investment from Benchmark Capital. Behrad led the new company as COO for 5 years, including key functions (Operations, Customer Experience, Growth/GTM). He delivered important goals including international expansion, launching & scaling their hiring marketplace to major Hollywood studios (NFLX, WBD, AMZN, AAPL, PARA), executing strategic M&A, and achieving 20x user growth.
Prior to Wharton, Behrad spent 2 years embedded with the United States Marine Corps in Southwest Afghanistan and served on the United States Department of Defense Task Force for Business and Stability operations, where he led private equity operations on the ground in Afghanistan.
Behrad lives in Los Angeles with his wife, who is a pilot, and a number of cats they’ve rescued. He is an avid musician and enjoys traveling. Behrad is happy to collaborate on projects requiring strategic operators who thrive in high stakes environments – particularly with PE/VC portfolio companies. He specializes in TMT across due diligence, financial modeling, market research, customer research, product & launch strategy, and priority initiative planning & execution.
