Justin is an experienced strategist, operator, and consultant with over 15 years of experience across venture-funded companies, McKinsey & Company, public service, and non-profits.
He set up his own consulting firm after spending three years driving transformational change at Guild, a skilling and education company, including leading its $175M+ Series F and driving the creation of a new organization structure and operating model to achieve sustainable growth.
Before Guild, Justin had been a political appointee of the Governor of California, where he led critical strategy and operations initiatives to drive government effectiveness and innovation, including the creation of the Office of Digital Innovation, fund proactive management of critical digital services, and increase broadband access. He also designed and stood up an inclusive investment program focused on small businesses through the California Investment and Economic Development Bank, and drove 0 to 1 creation of a vaccine scheduling and management tool. Prior to his public service, Justin was a consultant at McKinsey & Company with particular expertise in developing strategies and conducting investment diligences, designing organizations, and leading transformations in technology, energy, and public services.
He lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and three children, and is training for his second marathon.
Justin primarily serves mission-driven organizations, and is happy to jump in as an interim member of the team (e.g., COO, Head of Strategy), or lead high-impact projects involving strategy, growth, enterprise transformations, and org design.
