Philippe Simon, Partner, Winnotek
Philippe served two years as delegate administrator on behalf of his client in a patent licensing pool addressing a European digital TV standard whereby the client owned an “essential” patent. He assists several public research organizations in technology transfers toward private industry, and facilitates maturation of startups innovative technologies through setup of collaborative projects with industrial partners.
Philippe was previously General Manager Business Development, Europe, for Thomson (Technicolor)’s Intellectual Property & Licensing division. Earlier he had been Senior Manager, Product Innovation and Lifecycle Management (PILM) practice with Deloitte Consulting and Director of R&D processes, tools and methods at Faurecia (tier 1 automotive equipment). He created Braxton Associates’ Moscow (Russia) consulting office in 1997. He was initially US Manager, Marketing & Development for Pechiney Aluminium from 1982 to 1987 based in NYC then joined Bain & Co in Paris and later Boston in 1988.
Philippe holds an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure Mines Paris-Tech, and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
