Paul Flatin is a seasoned organizational effectiveness consultant with over 20 years of experience driving transformation across McKinsey & Company, Deloitte Federal, and boutique consulting firms. His expertise spans organizational design, change management, workforce analytics, and AI-enabled workforce transformation.
At McKinsey, Paul helped develop the Organizational Health Index framework and built the firm’s Organizational Network Analysis capabilities. Most recently at Deloitte Federal, he managed organizational transformation work across Defense, civil and state agencies.
Paul specializes in translating complex organizational challenges into actionable strategies, whether optimizing governance structures, designing future-state organizations, or integrating AI tools to enhance workforce productivity. He has deep expertise in network analysis, people analytics, and building consulting practices that deliver sustained client impact.
Born in Berlin and raised across South Asia and Japan as a Foreign Service dependent, Paul brings a global perspective to his work. He lived in Japan for two years through the JET Program, worked as an international correspondent for Kyodo News, and maintains conversational Japanese abilities.
Paul holds a BA in Asian Studies from the College of William and Mary and currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, two children, and an energetic goldendoodle puppy named Ginger. When not consulting, he enjoys international travel, outdoor adventures, and competitive swimming as a Masters swimmer.
