Crystal Bray, PhD is a founder, engineer, and operations consultant based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering Mathematics & Statistics from UC Berkeley.
Crystal began her consulting career in scientific consulting at Exponent, followed by Pricing Strategy and Analytics management consulting at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She went on to lead strategy, analytics, and product operations at Men’s Wearhouse and Uber before launching PTO Partners, a custom technical consulting firm where she partners with subject matter experts to deliver operations and analytics solutions for startups and mid-size businesses. Her early work includes growing a home caregiving company from its first hire to a multi-service-line operation, and advising venture-backed startups on pricing, systems, and strategy.
She co-founded TryMainline in 2025, an AI-powered revenue recovery platform purpose-built for service- and community-based businesses including: home services, gyms, and property management. She is also the author of The Double Click Method, a framework that helps professionals transform complex analytical problems into clear, career-advancing communication; drawing on her physics background and Fortune 500 consulting experiences.
