Get yourself a scheduling tool. I use Calendly. That’s C-A-L-E-N-D-L-Y.
Some folks that I know use ScheduleOnce.
They both work pretty much the same way. What it allows you to do is you integrate Calendly with your Google calendar or your Apple calendar and then you set up a type of event that you want people to schedule and you can have multiple event types.
So maybe you have a 15-minute event type or a 30-minute, or an hour-long and then each one of those different event types you can bound to only certain times during the week. So you can say all right, my hour-long interviews that I use for my podcast I’d say okay those Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoons from noon to five PM, boom.
Whereas half-hour calls I might have throughout the week or 15 minute calls for example, for three hours on a Friday afternoon, you could have a whole batch of them. It allows you to control what times they’re scheduled during a week.
You can obviously X out a certain day. The nice thing is because it’s integrated with your calendar, it’ll see if you’ve already booked an event at that time. It doesn’t show as available. So it only shows as available the time that’s not been blocked on your calendar.
It allows you to send a link to someone that you want to have a call with and say” hey, I’d love to speak with you, grab a time on my calendar via my Calendly link.”
When they click on that link, they’ll go to a page that shows your availability. They can select the day, they can select the time, and you can also create some custom questions. For example, if you want to call the other person, you can say “what is your phone number?”If you want to know what the purpose of the call is, you can add a custom block say, “what’s the purpose of our discussion?”
I love it. It saves so much time in terms of the back and forth of scheduling a call. Let’s put the other person in control and let them get time on your calendar. So get a scheduling tool.
