If a superstar employee in your organization goes above and beyond the call of duty, regularly pulling off miraculous feats, that’s wonderful and you’re lucky.
But that’s also not sustainable.
It is hard to hire more miracle workers through on-campus recruiting.
As Peter Lynch said in 1989:
Go for a business that any idiot can run – because sooner or later any idiot probably is going to be running it.
Design processes.
Provide tools.
Build systems.
