Tap Into the Source – Nature-based Off-sites

Kyra Blessing shares a short post and invitation to explore the benefits that nature-based off-sites provide leaders and their teams.

As many of you know, I embarked on a journey several years ago (with TrailHaven) to take my work into nature. While I aspire to do more work in nature, the reality is that *most* of my work is still conducted either virtually or through traditional in-person meetings/offsites. I love my clients and love my work, so I’m grateful for these opportunities.

AND, it was a breath of fresh air (literally) to step outside last week with a Toronto-based team and let nature do its work.  It was an opportunity for the team to step away from the office, slow down, connect with each other in new ways, and experience new (personal and team) insights.

From a team navigation exercise (decision making under uncertainty) to fire-making with ferro rod (navigating challenging situations) to solo time (how do I want to grow as a human and a leader), nature was the perfect office/playground for this professional development opportunity.

The team emerged re-energized and with fresh insights for how to perform at their best.

If this sounds interesting, I’d love to chat.
