Umbrex, a global community of independent management consultants with prior experience at top-tier firms, is pleased to welcome our newest member, Tiago Leonardo. Tiago has a career spanning agriculture, financial services, and consulting, with a focus on strategy, investment, and operational transformation. He is currently setting up Superfruits, a venture addressing Europe’s rising demand for health-oriented produce, while living in the countryside near Lisbon. Alongside, he undertakes independent consulting projects, including turning around an Australian dairy farm, supporting Galderma in securing FDA approval for a biologic drug, and leading Otovo’s international expansion in solar energy.
Previously, Tiago was an Investment Manager at EBG Capital, focusing on agricultural investments and advising family offices and institutional investors on portfolio management, due diligence, and deal execution. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, where he advised governments and corporates on transformation programs across agriculture, the public sector, and banking.
He holds an MBA from IESE Business School, an MSc in Plant Sciences from Wageningen University, and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Lisbon.
