Umbrex, a global community of independent management consultants with prior experience at top-tier firms, is pleased to welcome our newest member, Steven Androphy. Steven spent five years at McKinsey & Company, leading and collaborating on projects across the US and Latin America. His work focused on major M&A transactions, including integration and separation strategy, organization design, operating model, commercial strategy, talent and culture, value capture, and Day 1 readiness. He also advised on new market expansion strategy and worked with multiple clients in the travel and logistics industry. At McKinsey, Steven co-led the Washington, DC office’s Social Impact Group, partnering with 20+ local non-profits, and was heavily involved in recruiting efforts.
Since 2024, Steven has built an independent consulting and coaching practice, collaborating with startup CEOs and specialists at the World Bank Group, while coaching 30+ clients on consulting recruiting and professional development.
Steven graduated from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics (Wharton) and a BA in International Studies. He has lived, worked, and studied in Mexico City and São Paulo, taught English across four prefectures in Japan, is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and brings a deeply global perspective to all of his endeavors.
