Umbrex is pleased to welcome Paulo Janousek with Stricto Lato Management Consulting. Paulo Janousek accumulates close to 20 years and 100 studies in management consulting. Of these, a few in 2 years as an Associate with McKinsey & Co. and the rest as co-founder and later leading partner of Stricto Lato management consulting. Stricto Lato was formed as a partnership and in 2002-2010 had up to 15 fixed consultants in 4 complete teams, working for different studies and clients. Currently, Stricto Lato is the vehicle for the independent practice of Paulo Janousek, aggregating experts from his network as necessary.
Based in Brazil, in the Campinas and São Paulo metropolitan areas, Paulo has also worked expatriated in Canada and USA for McKinsey during 1 year. Stricto Lato has served international clients from France, Germany, and the USA with business interests in Brazil.
Industries served include Agribusiness, Food Processing, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Banking, Education, and others. Studies covered topics such as new businesses, marketing strategy, operations management and turnaround, mergers and acquisitions and alliances, and others.
In 2015-2020, Paulo took a break from consulting to serve as the CEO of Tintas Hidracor in the J. Macêdo Group, a frequent client which offered the consultant an opportunity to prove himself by implementing his own recommendations. It was a very successful journey which included a turnaround, the acquisition of one competitor, and the selling of the consolidated entity to another industry leader.
Prior to consulting, Paulo has worked in several IT roles, from backup operator to CIO. Paulo has also lectured IT classes for the Ibmec MBA in Brazil.
