Umbrex, a global community of independent management consultants with prior experience at top-tier firms, is pleased to welcome our newest member, Omotoyosi Ayanwola. Toyosi is an independent consultant with expertise in public health strategy, health equity, and cross-sector program design. She recently completed her Master of Public Health at Harvard University, where her work focused on the intersection of health systems, housing, and community-based interventions.
Toyosi has worked with the Health CoLab to support the development of a digital health application serving residents of public housing in California, translating public health research into practical, user-centered tools. She has also contributed to program design and research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, supporting equity-focused, community-based and telehealth initiatives.
Prior to graduate school, Toyosi spent two years at McKinsey & Company, working on operations and strategy engagements across healthcare and financial services. She later worked at BGB Group, supporting pharmaceutical market entry and medical education strategy, contributing to strategic planning and analysis within oncology-focused accounts.
She is currently a Culture Dynamics Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where her work expands beyond traditional health contexts into the creative and cultural fields. Through her research and independent practice, Toyosi brings a multidisciplinary lens to consulting—bridging public health, strategy, and cultural insight to design solutions that are rigorous, human-centered, and contextually grounded.
