Marisa is an entrepreneur and retail executive with 25+ years of experience driving growth, transformation, and operational excellence across retail, consumer, and private equity environments. Marisa was the co-founder of Birdies, and built and scaled the successful e-commerce brand that disrupted the women’s footwear industry by creating a new category of footwear–stylish and comfortable shoes that secretly feel like slippers.
Prior to Birdies, Marisa was the Group Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Ross Stores, where she advised the CEO and leadership team in setting overall strategic priorities and implementing change-oriented initiatives through strong strategic thinking, analytical decision making, and cross-functional partnership.
She is equally adept in entrepreneurial and corporate settings and brings a rare blend of strategic acumen, hands-on operational leadership, and customer-centric innovation.
