Umbrex, a global community of independent management consultants with prior experience at top-tier firms, is pleased to welcome our newest member, Kirill Solovyev. Kirill is a strategy and operations leader with nearly five years at McKinsey. He started his career in Moscow before transferring to the New York office, where he focused on PEPI, TMT (SaaS), and Energy industries across M&A, GTM, strategic growth, transformations, and CAPEX optimization. While completing his full-time Master’s in Corporate Finance, Kirill also worked full-time at McKinsey as a Business Analyst Intern.
Before McKinsey, Kirill co-founded Pumple Agency, a digital marketing firm, where he led operations and strategy for a cross-functional team of 11. Earlier, as a Strategy Analyst at Sportmaster (Russia’s largest sporting goods chain and top-5 in Europe), he rolled out a new omnichannel format with in-store kiosks and mid-mile logistics hubs, drove M&A on a $45M sporting goods retail acquisition, and implemented an installment payments program with a top-5 Russian bank. He also gained early experience at Imperial Brands and Ernst & Young.
Outside of work, Kirill is currently training for his first IronMan 70.3 (he only started running two years ago) and enjoys long Sunday coffee bike rides. He is also interested in golf and hockey, and volunteers at pet shelters.
