Umbrex, a global community of independent management consultants with prior experience at top-tier firms, is pleased to welcome our newest member, Guilherme Sakajiri. Guilherme (Saka) spent three years as an Associate at McKinsey & Company working across infrastructure, education, retail, and financial services, and began his consulting career at Gradus Management Consulting, where he advised clients in various industries focused on ZBB (zero-based budgeting), post-merger integration and organizational restructuring. Since 2015, he has been working as an independent consulting, supporting clients on growth strategy, market entry, business model design, and governance — across healthcare, fintech, e-commerce, and retail.
Saka is also a two-time founder. He built TagFit, a digital behavior change platform for chronic disease prevention, and most recently Comsentimento, an AI startup focused on extracting intelligence from clinical notes. In between, he served as Senior Product Manager at Optum Brazil and Head of Healthcare at Semantix, giving him deep operating experience on the industry side as well.
His particular expertise lies at the intersection of operational efficiency and strategy. He currently serves as Executive Director at ABSS, the Brazilian Healthtech Association, and is an active speaker and mentor in the AI and healthtech ecosystem.
Saka holds a BSc in Naval Engineering from USP and an MBA from INSEAD. He is based in São Paulo, has a 11-year daughter.
