Ed Short is an interim leader and transformation expert, with a bias to problem solving, planning and effective implementation of challenging, time-constrained projects. He has worked at all levels of organisations from Board to frontline, and is most at home supporting mid-sized companies on a mission to improve their business on a short timescale.
Ed started his career in the UK military leading teams in demanding environments for almost a decade, before joining Boston Consulting Group, working on multi-disciplinary projects across finance, energy, oil & gas, mining and retail sectors, advising clients on compliance, cost optimization, workforce planning, pricing & promotional strategy and supplier negotiations.
Following BCG, he grew Amazon’s Grocery category for the UK marketplace, driving 30%+ YoY growth to be a billion dollar vertical. Following Amazon, Ed led sales functions for various start-ups and co-founded, built and scaled a digital platform supporting veteran mental health.
Ed now supports executive leadership teams on transformation and turnaround journeys, mentoring founders in their journeys, and investing in selected startups with a positive community impact.
