The intro title sequence of the HBO series Peacemaker makes me unreasonably happy. It looks like the product of an amateur theater troupe given a bonanza tech budget and one week to rehearse. Every costumed cast member gives earnest, unsmiling commitment to their dance moves, no matter their abilities, bolstering the glam rock energy of the Foxy Shazam theme song and elevating absurd details like the four-eyed extra-dimensional alien and the CGI eagle doing their respective versions of the running man.
What does that have to do with AI? Um, not much. But it hooked me on the show in the first place, which meant I heard last week an orange-jumpsuited Lex Luthor rant about the “metahuman blight.” As a Marvel kiddo in my youth, I wasn’t sure what Lex was on about exactly. Were metahumans something new in the DC universe? Is that what they’re calling superheroes these days? I prompted ChatGPT, naturally, and got the run down:
“Can you make a table that includes all of the various categories for super power attributions in both the DC and Marvel universes, with roughly equivalent categories for each side by side?”
