Umbrex is pleased to welcome Tomasz Sendyka with Smart Practical Logic. Tomasz has obtained Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and MA in Theoretical Physics from the Jagellonian University of Kraków in 1989.
He has spent roughly half of his professional life as line manager and half as consultant. His core expertise has been quick assessment of the situation and improvement potential in an organization. Most of his professional experience comes in manufacturing and IT companies.
He carried out globally assessments, operational improvement projects and PMI (Post Merger Integration) for major companies including SABMiller/ABI, Bitburger, CANPACK, Danone, Kellogg, Heinz/KraftHeinz, Pfleiderer, Heineken, Polpharma, Mondi, Grupa Azoty, Software Mind, as well as many local Polish, Ukrainian and CIS entities. He has worked on all continents except of Antarctica.
As consultant he has worked major consultancies including McKinsey, CCI, PwC and Hay Group (now KornFerry) as well as with his own team (SPL). As manager he worked for Elbrewery (Heinenken), Mondi, AgrosNOVA and CANPACK and a few other companies.
At CANPACK as strategic business development director he was responsible for company’s most recent wave of international expansion. Coordinating all work from initial feasibility study, through sales contracts negotiations to coordinating setting up local entity, purchasing land and setting up production. During his tenure new businesses were set up in the Netherlands, Brazil, Colombia and India with groundwork prepared for Czechia and US.
