Umbrex is pleased to welcome . Pierfrancesco graduated with a degree in Electronic Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1987. In 1998 he works in the marketing department at Pirelli. Three years after joins Carrier (at that time part of the United Technologies US conglomerate) where he covers different roles in marketing and sales, up to Sales & Marketing Director for consumer products. In 1998 joins Bain & Company, becoming partner in 2005.
In 2006 joins De Agostini (an industrial/financial Italian conglomerate) where he starts and takes the lead a new business unit, Digital De Agostini, through which the company enters the market of thematic TV channels and digital destinations for editorial contents, reaching market leadership, both in pay and free-to-air TV, in the kids segment. During this period, he is also Director of Editorial Coordinaton of the Group, chairman of a JV with RCS Group (the main newspaper publisher in Italy) and CEO of aJV with Viacom International Networks.
In 2020, while keeping the role of managing director at Digital De Agostini, founds and takes the role of president at KidsMe, a TV production company totally controlled by De Agostini. Since 2022 he acts as a business advisor, as a temporary/fractional executive and is an investor in media and deep tech start ups
