Umbrex is pleased to welcome Julie Sneider Peller with J Peller Consulting. Julie is currently an independent operations consultant working with clients to improve both their customer experience and improve the efficiency of their operations. She has extensive experience in B2B businesses, healthcare, consumer, retail and weight loss. In addition, she has spent much of her career working on subscription businesses.
Julie recently left her role as COO of Ideal Protein, a leading weight loss company. She spent four years at IP in a series of progressively challenging roles including VP of Learning & Development, SVP of Sales and US. She designed executed several large-scale initiatives to convert consultants to employees, develop new verticals and working with a 3rd party call center to set up a patient acquisition function.
In 2018 and early 2019, Julie was the Vice President of Customer Experience at Dia & Co, a plus-size fashion business. She was responsible for the Customer Service and Styling teams.
In 2017, Julie left her role as General Manager of FreshDirect at the Office, a division of FreshDirect, an industry leader in food, teach and eCommerce Innovation. FreshDirect at the Office specializes in delivering a high-quality assortment of fresh food, snacks and beverages to corporate offices and schools. At FD, Julie had full P&L responsibility and direct management of sales, marketing, analytics & merchandising for the B2B business. In addition, she managed the operational (plant and transportation) resources dedicated to the office business.
Prior to working at FD, Julie held several positions at Weight Watchers International. She worked on large-scale, cross-functional technology projects to help increase Member and Staff success. She was responsible for commercializing new lines of business and other innovations. In addition to these longer-term projects, she had day-to-day responsibilities for store-level operations and systems as well as all tools and handbooks used by staff and field management.
Prior to working at Weight Watchers, Julie was a consultant in the New York office of Bain & Company where she focused on Retail & Healthcare.
Julie earned her MBA in Strategy from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University in 2003. Prior to business school, Julie worked in the Analytic Consulting Group at IRI, a leading provider of grocery store scanner data. She earned her BS in Economics and History from Northwestern in 1997.
She currently lives in Manhattan and has a keen interest in Retail, Consumer and Hospitality.
