Umbrex is pleased to welcome Johannes Becker with Becker Management Consulting. Johannes started the first decade of his career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Munich working mainly in Financial Services, Technology and Energy industries. BCG then delegated him to a multi-year project with the University of Oxford and sponsoring his PhD in Industrial Marketing. Subsequently, he worked out of the Munich office as member of the BCG’s Energy Core Group and later the Chicago office focusing on Consumer Packaged Goods and Pharmaceutical industries.

He joined Siemens Management Consulting (SMC) in 2008 proceeded to lead the US office of SMC with about 25 consultants as Vice President. During this time he worked closely with the Siemens Infrastructure and Energy Service businesses and helped launching two new business units.

In 2014 he joined Siemens Laboratory Diagnostics (a $4bn Siemens MedTech division) and held various Global Marketing and Product Management functions on Business Unit and Division level, managing organizations with 30-150 members. He directed the market launch of Atellica Solution from concept through its first year of launch in all its facets. Atellica solution is a $1bn new in-vitro diagnostic platform. Over his tenure he rebuilt the Laboratory Diagnostics Marketing function with his teams and processes.

He left Siemens in 2020 to work as independent consultant and founded Becker Management Consulting LLC.

Johannes holds a doctorate in industrial marketing from the University of Oxford and a master’s in mechanical engineering from the Technical University Munich.
