Umbrex is pleased to welcome Henry Tung with Alex Russell LLC. Henry Tung, MD MBA had 10 years of clinical medicine experience as an anesthesiologist prior to returning to school to Kellogg Graduate School of Management to earn an MBA. Post MBA, he consulted for McKinsey & Co. in their medical device, pharma and provider and payer practices before being recruited to industry. Positions included senior executive roles with responsibilities in strategy, business development, commercial leadership and general management in roles both internationally and domestic.

Henry has significant deal experience including sourcing, assessments, deal structuring, negotiation, due diligence and integration. Deals include corporate venture capital investments, supply and distribution, licensing, strategic alliances and M&A. He has also lead and rapidly grown small to medium sized business units for multiple multi-national companies. Recently Henry has worked for a regional non-profit helping to start a primary care service to integrate with existing disability and mental health service to provide integrated care for the Medicaid population.

Dr. Tung has three grown children and resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife. He is happy to collaborate on projects that leverages his extensive medical and business expertise and leadership skills.
