Matthew Sinclair has ~7 years of Management Consulting (Bain) and Corporate Strategy and M&A (Microsoft) experience from 2015-2022. He joined Bain’s San Francisco & Silicon Valley office as an Associate Consultant in 2015 after graduating from a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne with First Class Honors. At Bain, he worked as a generalist strategy consultant across various industries and capability areas before departing in 2019 and joining Microsoft.
At Microsoft, he worked on both strategy topics as well as M&A – with a more recent focus on corporate sustainability. Since departing Microsoft, Matt has been working on building Desesh – a brand of 30+ plastic-free, more sustainable, and healthier personal care alternative CPG products. Outside of his professional life, Matt loves to surf, bike ride, hike, camp, play tennis, garden, travel, and go on road trips. Feel free to also ask him about spending 7 nights in the Alaskan wilderness with no tent, sleeping bag, or outside food or water.
He lives near Honolulu and is open to a variety of freelance opportunities, be it full-time or part-time and remote or in-person with geographic flexibility and a willingness to travel.
